As a decentralized, peer-to-peer sports betting system, ZenSports doesn't handle the submitting/settling of bet results. Everyone within the ZenSports ecosystem has a role to play in ensuring that everything runs smoothly and fairly. ZenSports has created a set of rules, deadlines, and a penalty/reward system to ensure that all bettors within the marketplace act in good faith.

Part of this decentralized system includes Makers submitting their own results. To ensure that Makers submit correct results and don't try to lie or cheat when submitting results, we withhold a 10% escrow fee when a Maker creates a bet. If a dispute arises, and the Maker loses the dispute, they'll lose their full 10% escrow fee in addition to their bet amount.

Before reading the information below on how to submit a dispute on a Maker's submitted results, be sure to read how the entire decentralized bet results and disputes system works by clicking the link below:

Responsibilities, Penalties, & Rewards As A Decentralized Betting System

To submit a dispute as the Taker, follow these steps:

Step 1

Go to the View Results screen of a bet where the Maker set him/herself as the winner, set Tied results, or set that the Event was Postponed/Cancelled, and it's still within 24 calendar hours after the Maker has submitted results. Once 24 calendar hours has elapsed after the Maker has submitted results, you'll no longer be able to submit a dispute for that bet -- NO EXCEPTIONS.

You'll then see the following screen:

Step 2

While on the above screen, you'll see the bet results submitted by the Maker, along with an opportunity to dispute these results.

Tap the check box on the right side next to the question of "Would you like to dispute the bet results?", enter in the reason why you're disputing the bet, and then tap the blue Submit Dispute button:

Valid reasons for submitting a dispute would be entering in a different (i.e. correct) score, player's stats, etc. Some prop bets may require a longer explanation. Currently, all disputes get reviewed and resolved by the internal ZenSports team, so the more detail you can provide, the better.

Step 3

After you tap the blue Submit Dispute button above, you'll see a confirmation message asking you to double check that you indeed want to submit a dispute:

ZenSports withholds a 5% escrow fee from Takers that submit disputes, and if you lose the dispute, you'll not only lose the bet but also your 5% escrow fee. So be absolutely sure you want to submit a dispute before doing so, because this can't be undone, and you will lose more than your original bet if you're wrong.

Step 4

After you submit a dispute, ZenSports will review and resolve the dispute generally within 48 business hours, excluding weekends and US holidays. If you haven't heard back from us after 48 business hours, chat with us or send an email to [email protected] to follow up.
